If you have accepted a loan on your eFAN (electronic Financial Aid Notification), you must complete the following steps before your loan will be disbursed:

STAFFORD LOAN borrowers, who borrow at UCLA for the first time, must complete a “Master Promissory Note” at https://opennet.salliemae.com and an online Debt Management Session at http://www.loans.ucla.edu . If you are a continuing borrower, you only need to accept your loan on the eFAN.

PERKINS LOAN borrowers must complete paper “promissory notes” every year mailed to them by Student Loan Services. To find out more information about Perkins Promissory Notes, please call 310-825-9864. If you are borrowing a Perkins Loan for the first time you must also complete an online Debt Management Session at http://www.loans.ucla.edu .

Federal PLUS Loan borrowers must apply for the loan through Sallie Mae by calling 888-2-SALLIE or applying on line at https://opennet.salliemae.com . First time borrowers must also complete a PLUS Master Promissory Note on OpenNet.  Sallie Mae will request a loan certification from the UCLA Financial Aid Office once they have approved the PLUS Loan and are in possession of a Master promissory Note.
