If you are expecting a financial aid refund for Summer 2011, please sign up for BruinDirect with Student Financial Services to make sure that you have access to your refund as quickly as possible.
For students enrolled in Summer Session A or A & C, financial aid funds will disburse to your BAR account for the first time on the evening of June 10th (and every weeknight after 6/10). For financial aid recipients enrolled in Session C only, the first disbursement to BAR will occur on July 22nd (and every weeknight after 7/22).
Student Accounting will release summer refunds via Bruin Direct every Monday for students enrolled in regular Summer Sessions and Cross Campus Summer Sessions. Please allow 3-5 business days for refunds to be deposited in your bank account. If you do not have BruinDirect, your refund check will be mailed. Since refund checks are mailed at least two days after BruinDirect deposits are made, BruinDirect is always the fastest method to access your financial aid refund.
How do I sign up?
- Go to http://www.sfs.finance.ucla.edu/Pdf/bruindirectform.pdf for the authorization form and print it.
- Send the form, along with a current voided check to: University of California, Los Angeles, Remittance Processing Center, Box 951432 1125 Murphy Hall, 405 Hilgard Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90095-9000.
